“I did this plein air painting by the Lynnhaven Bay in Virgina Beach. It was a very cold brisk day. I love the reflection of the sky in the shallow pools of water in the foreground. It’s fun to mix just the right color and portray something with a single brush stroke. Theres a special atmosphere and energy that can only be captured when you’re on site because the light is constantly changing. This means the painting ends up being a synthesis of space and time.”
